“Mentoring with Patti is more than advice and theoretical concepts – it's an experiential and deeply healing process, personally and professionally. I leave my sessions with new tools I can immediately apply, confident they are effective because I've experienced them for myself. Even with the most challenging cases, I feel at home in my own body and confident in my ability to attune and co-regulate with my clients in a way that suits their nervous system and attachment style. Sessions feel gentler even when working with the most intense material or activation. This is the gift of having Patti as my mentor – more love and secure attachment with clients, deeper and more enduring results, increased capacity and skillfulness as a practitioner - and the confidence that a wise and experienced Guide has my back if I enter uncertain territory, and the satisfaction of knowing that this investment with Patti ripples out beyond my life, sending positive healing currents through the lives of multitudes and even generations to come.”

“I first got to know Patti Elledge as my teacher and supervisor in a training program on attachment based trauma. Patti has an incredible expertise on interpersonal neurobiology and vast experience as a somatically oriented clinician and trauma therapist. However, what most stands out to me is the deeply embodied clarity and compassionate presence that she brings to every aspect of her teachings. I have learnt so much - and am always happy to learn more from this true healer and wise woman!”

“Patti Elledge has been a mentor, teacher and healer to me for the past 7 years. Our relationship began when I took her DARe 1 Course, Healing Early Attachment Wounds created by Diane Poole Heller. I have gone on to take all the DARe courses and do the necessary supervision and sessions to become Certified. I have had Patti by my side through the whole process and now several years beyond. Patti invited me to further study the neuroscience aspects of DARe on my first attempt to complete Certification. If you can get “flunked” with no shame, but with grace and good feedback, then that was my experience. It taught me so much about her integrity and boundaries and has helped me strengthen both of these in myself. When I passed later she sent me the most beautiful celebration card. She has the capacity to hold good boundaries while still maintaining a very loving, real and close relationship. She has unfailingly supported me in our case consultations. I never fear bringing up what seems like the biggest mistake I could make, as it always lands in a “lap of kindness” and helpful teaching points. She likes to draw diagrams which have proven so helpful that I now draw a lot for my clients. Finally case consultation can include personal work and I have moved through some very big growth spurts with Patti’s gentle and firm guidance. I have recommended her to many people and wish everyone could be touched by one of Patti’s alchemist ways!”

“In my first SE appointment, I began a journey of personal healing from the inside. I had the option of sharing anything I felt the need to share but I was also given the option to not tell my story. After several months of stagnant work with my “traditional therapist” it was refreshing to feel a change as I learned that my body could release. That is when my healing shifted to a very deep and profound level. Patti helped guide me and explained every step of the way that what was happening was normal. After the first hour I left her office amazed. I actually felt feelings - SE helped me awaken. I’ve integrated my story and now recognize triggers in my body’s physical reactions. I have been able to experience a new sense of freedom and uniformity. I no longer feel the constriction in my body, but I feel a connection that I once thought impossible.” - Local Asheville Business Manager

“Our work together.has truly been transformational. I feel so alive in my body and life- as well as calm and steady. I didn't understand before that I could feel alive and grounded simultaneously. Thanks for all you do and give. I am truly grateful to have you in my life.”

“After suffering with multiple illnesses over the course of several years, it occurred to me that all my ailments might have a trauma component that no one had addressed. My acupuncturist recommended that I talk to Patti Elledge. After only two sessions, I noticed a remarkable change in my behavior and mental outlook. All my “stuck” behavior, my fears and perceived threats vanished. I was able to confront an unethical doctor who hurt me, I overcame my fear of travel and made vacation plans, and the terrifying triggers that plagued me completely vanished. It felt like shedding a heavy coat that had been weighing me down and finally having access to the deepest parts of myself that I always knew existed but could never find the key to. The new emotional freedom feels liberating and permanent.”

“I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience. I recently attended a 4 day training with Patti Elledge in Charlottesville, Va. entitled Finding Resiliency in Early Trauma Patterns. The focus was attachment and somatic healing modalities with a developmental approach. I can honestly say that this was one of the most profound training experiences of my life, both personally and professionally. Patti is a superb presenter and her lectures are packed with information about the science of attachment. Her extensive power point presentation, media and materials are extremely well done. Additionally, her warm, engaging, and playful personality helped to create a climate of emotional safety and comfort. Her skill as a practitioner is very evident during the exercises and demonstrations. During the one-on-one work which I did with Patti, I experienced significant and immediate relief with personal issues which were of concern to me, leaving me with a feeling that I wanted more. I would highly recommend Patti for training and for direct clinical work.”
